I was determined to have a Fall centerpiece this year, so regardless of the fact that little kids don’t mix well with pretty arrangements on the dining table, I made it happen…but really simply, because I don’t do complicated. I can’t. I have limited time and creative brain power these days, ya’ll.
All I needed – –
two baby food jars – I just soaked them in hot water, after they were emptied by Tank CXD, and then pealed the labels off
three little pumpkins – orange would have been pretty, too.
wheat bundle – found at Publix. Amazon has them, too.
I separated the wheat into two bundles, trimmed the stalks so that they would sit nicely in the jars and tied the bundles with twine. I then arranged it all and…that was that!
No make-up. Check. Hair not styled. Check. Pajama shirt. Check.
I wanted to give off that casual-and-effortless-cool-blogger-mom look.
Meanwhile, as I was putting all of this together…
There was messy chocolate dipped apple making going on in the kitchen.
Anthony came in to “hewp” me with his caramel-ed hands. Thaaaanks, Sweeeeeety. 😀
Oh, & look! The kitchen…
…is still a mess. No way.
Whatever. At least I have a pretty Fall table!
I fully expect that 50-75% of it will be strewn all around the house by next week.
