I found this mirror at Goodwill for $3.99 and was all pumped to get it back home and give it a bit of a makeover for our master bedroom, which sorely needed some added character and charm.
Well, six months later and I finally got it done. ha!
Yeh, so things take a while to come together around here. Ya know, KIDS and my mind just works that way – very slowly. I get these spurts of creative energy, where all of the sudden I want to make allthethings in one day. Hey ho. It all works out somehow!
The Before:
What I used:
wooden-framed mirror (Goodwill)
* FYI: I ended up moving the hooks down to the middle, on both sides. It just looked better, in my opinion.
YESSS! I’m so happy with the end result.
I love it when I find something second-hand, have this vision for it and then it ends up becoming exactly what I saw in my head. It’s always a fist pump moment for me.
It doesn’t always happen that way, but we don’t need to talk about those epic fails. Let’s just focus on the positive here, people. lol.
The After:
Our master bedroom has been a work in progress (stress on “in progress”…meaning, nada has been done in many moons), so this little corner makes me do a little happy dance every time I walk in there now.
Now, if you’re not exactly the crafty type, but are loving the hanging mirror idea, I found some pretty affordable options that don’t require you to lift a finger…except to maybe click a few times and possibly hammer a single nail. Sorry, some work is required. haha.
Cheers,
Cams
